We’re looking for a strong Technical Game Designer who can invent gameplay systems, package them clearly, prototype fast in Unity, tune balance/curves/timings precisely, and deliver features to a true production-ready state.
You’ll have direct impact on how the game feels. We value taste, player empathy, and clean execution. We keep meetings minimal, processes flexible, and reward efficiency and real results (not “hours spent online”).
What are you working on?
- The name of the project(s): Dragon Shelter
- At what stage of the project(s)? Demo
- Genres: Action, Simulation, Role-playing
- Platforms: PC, Console
Team size and structure?
10
For which tasks (responsibilities)?
We build PC co-op gameplay experiences and iterate quickly through prototypes → validated mechanics → production implementation. The role is hands-on: you will both design and directly tune systems in-engine.
Responsibilities
Rapid prototyping of gameplay mechanics in Unity (MVP → iterations → production version)
Implement and maintain gameplay systems: parameters, curves, timings, UX, feedback analysis, and “feel” improvements
Write high-quality GDDs, feature specs, and technical tasks following best practices (structure, acceptance criteria, edge cases, metrics)
Write gameplay scripts at a tech-designer level: events, states, interactions, triggers, basic systems
Collaborate with programmers / art / animation / production: decomposition, sync, and quality control of implementation
Use AI tools (Copilot, etc.) to accelerate prototyping and documentation drafts (with strict manual quality control)
What kind of professional are we looking for?
3+ years as Tech Designer / Game Designer with strong technical ownership
Confident Unity workflow: prototyping, scenes/prefabs/entities setup, mechanics integration, parameter tuning
Ability to quickly create prototypes and translate them into clear tasks for the team
Strong documentation skills: GDD/specs/tasks with logic, states, UX flows, edge cases, “definition of done”
Great gameplay sense: emergence, elegance, creative combinations
Experience or strong understanding of co-op games (readability, synergy, role design, anti-frustration, multiplayer tuning)
Personal profile: systematic thinking, accuracy, thoroughness, player empathy
Why do we enjoy working here?
Real ownership and direct influence on gameplay quality and player experience
Small team, direct communication, minimal bureaucracy
Fast iteration culture: prototype → validate → ship
Strong focus on practical results and measurable impact
What are the conditions and bonuses?
Full-time, flexible schedule (result-driven)
Remote work (location not important)
After internship/probation: project percentage on top of salary + strong performance bonuses for efficiency
Optional mentorship/consultations with senior specialists (AAA backgrounds: Blizzard/Tencent)
You can bring your own ideas / pet projects — we’re open to incubating them
We’ve survived multiple crises and have a clear direction and long-term vision
The selection process
Selection process
CV/portfolio review: looking for shipped solutions and real cases
Interview: meet the team, go through practical questions and scenarios
Decision: typically within ~1 week
No test task — we use a probation period with clear goals instead.
What to send in your application
CV + links to portfolio/projects (Steam / itch / prototype videos)
2–3 short cases: what mechanic you built, how you prototyped it, how you improved “feel”, what changed after feedback
A sample of your GDD/spec (can be anonymized)
